For the Cake:

½ cup unsalted butter, softened

3 ripe bananas, mashed

For the Filling & Topping:

2 cups creamy custard

1 banana, sliced (for garnish)

Instructions
1️⃣ Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Grease and flour two 8-inch round cake pans.
2️⃣ Mix the Dry Ingredients

In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
3️⃣ Cream the Butter and Sugar

In a large bowl, beat the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.

Stir in the vanilla extract.
4️⃣ Incorporate the Wet Ingredients

Mix in the sour cream and mashed bananas until fully combined.
5️⃣ Combine Everything

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring just until incorporated.

Gently fold in the chopped walnuts and white chocolate chips.
6️⃣ Bake the Cakes

Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans.

Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Let the cakes cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
7️⃣ Assemble the Cake

Once the layers are cool, spread half the custard over the bottom layer.

Place the second cake layer on top and spread the remaining custard over the top.
8️⃣ Garnish and Serve

Decorate with banana slices and walnuts as desired.
