Homemade Korean BBQ Beef Rice Stack

 


Ingredients:


  • 1 lb thinly sliced beef sirloin

  • 4 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion

  • 3 tbsp soy sauce

  • 2 tbsp honey

  • 1 tbsp sesame oil

  • 1 tsp gochujang (or sriracha for a twist)

  • 2 cups cooked white rice

  • 1 cup shredded lettuce

  • 1/2 cup julienned carrots

  • 2 fried eggs (optional, for topping)

  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds

  • 1 tbsp sliced green onions


Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, mix the soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, garlic, onion, and gochujang.

  2. Add the beef to the marinade, toss to coat, and let it sit for 20 minutes.

  3. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the beef for 2–3 minutes per side until browned, then set aside.

  4. In a bowl, layer the rice, lettuce, carrots, and cooked beef.

  5. Top with a fried egg (if using), sesame seeds, and green onions.

  6. Serve immediately and enjoy the sweet, savory, and spicy flavors.
